Nervous pupils are also very welcome; our two friendly, experienced instructors, Mervyn and Wilf, structure pupils' lessons according to their needs.

Mervyn Ross

Mervyn is AA trained to deliver client-centred learning, tailored to suit the individual's needs. He also completed further AA training, authorising him to deliver Driver Instructor Training (DIT) to potential instructors.

He is conversant with teaching pupils at every level, from novice to qualified, including pupils holding an automatic licence who wish to undertake manual training and foreign licence holders who wish to obtain a UK licence.

He holds a level four City and Guilds PTTL (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification and is committed to delivering a high standard of customer service.

Mervyn also works with pupils who need to regain their confidence following an accident, or who are required to retrain to earn their licence back following a driving ban.

He is now an experienced instructor, but got his start in the television industry, in a role where customer delivery was also paramount!

Wilf Redshaw

Wilf had a previous career working abroad in the finance industry, where again the needs of the client always came first. When he moved to Northern Ireland, he changed to his current occupation as a driving instructor.

He is fully qualified to teach folks at all levels of capability. His experience, expertise and infectious enthusiasm has facilitated the production of countless new drivers and created many new driving instructors.

Wilf believes in providing a high standard of customer service in a friendly manner. He holds a level four City and Guilds PTTL (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification and has also attained ROSPA gold.
